At PSA, we are always on the lookout for quality coaches for our teams. In an effort to provide the very best coaches for our players, we are embarking on a recruiting effort to secure quality coaches for the 2010-2011 year.
The SOX Program is a unique and innovative venture to provide quality coaching and instruction for young players who are serious about their game. Our program features both major level and development level teams. Our vision is to provide the best possible instruction over an extended period of time in a character building and Christian environment. We currently serve players ages 8-13 with plans to expand to high school level summer travel teams.
To be considered for a position as a SOX coach you must possess some serious qualities:
· We are looking for individuals who have played the game at a high level…college or professional playing experience. We believe that this factor is basic.
· Prior coaching experience is a plus, but not necessary
· Love the game
· Love kids
· Loyal
· High level of character
· Willing to learn the SOX system
· Want to be part of a great program that impacts lives
· Loves the Lord and wants to influence young players and parents for His glory
At present, we have coaches who have played college baseball at Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Delta State, Southern Miss, Louisiana Tech, Jackson State, Delta CC, Hinds CC, Meridian CC, and Pearl River CC. In addition, many of these and others have professional experience with the Chicago White Sox, Chicago Cubs, Milwaukee Brewers, Boston Red Sox, Montreal Expos, Washington Nationals, Colorado Rockies, Florida Marlins, and Cleveland Indians.
We are very proud of our current coaches, the experience they bring to our program, the character they possess, their love of the game, and their desire to impact the lives of young players.
